Start the engines, polish the shells, and go! Mario Kart 8 brings back your favourite party racing game, with new features and graphics. First, you need to pick a driver – there's over 40 characters, from Mario, Luigi or Bowser to Link from Zelda or Isabelle from Animal Crossing. Then, choose between the 48 tracks – besides a whole bunch of new ones there are famous tracks like Yoshi Valley and Donut Plains. Of course, even the infamous Rainbow Road is there. Finally – race! Navigate the track obstacles, pick the power-ups and shoot the other as you race to victory.
Good to know
- There's a new go-kart mode - anti-gravity racing lets you drive on walls and ceilings, getting a speed boost when you bump into others
- All the power-ups you know are here, plus 4 new ones like Piranha Plant and Super Horn, which lets you evade even the dreaded blue shell
- You can play any way you fancy – in the TV, tabletop or handheld mode, in local split-screen multiplayer or online modes
- The Deluxe edition comes with all the DLCs available, so you can access all the tracks, characters and modes
