And with IR motion cameras included, the controllers can detect the shape, movement and distance of objects so you can play games in a whole new way. Unlock amiibo characters Thanks to the NFC touchpoint on the right Joy-Con controller, you can use amiibo characters to add new elements and characters to your favourite games. Want to play as Detective Pikachu in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim? With amiibo you can. The controllers can last for up to 20 hours on a single charge, so you don't have to worry about constantly recharging. But if you are running low on battery, all you have to do is reconnect them to the console.
