Convert your vinyl into High Resolution audio
Made for avid music fans, the Sony PS-HX500 USB Turntable converts your beloved vinyl records to digital High Resolution Audio files (up to DSD 5.6MHz or PCM 192 kHz/24-bit quality). This two-speed turntable operates at 33-1/3 and 45 RPM for your LP albums and EP singles.
DSD 6MHz native conversion preserves every note and sound so you can archive those analogue masterworks and listen to them wherever you go.
USB port and conversion software
Simply connect the PSHX500 to your Mac or PC via USB, play a record and record it digitally to your hard drive or music server using the included conversion software. The turntable provides DSD-recorded DSF files and can also record and play back PCM-recorded WAV files.
Use the editing app for Windows and Mac OS X lets you to remove unwanted sections and split tracks.
Transfer your records to HDDs and smart devices
Relive those classic albums with their warm sounds and subtle details on your phone, tablet and digital devices. Once you've ripped the audio from your records, it's a simple matter of transferring the music files to your devices for portable enjoyment.
You can burn them onto CDs to enjoy the smooth, distinctive sounds of vinyl on your car stereo, Hi-Fi or boombox. Transfer ripped vinyls to high-capacity storage and reduce clutter in your home without losing your treasured albums.
Enjoy traditional, high-quality listening
The Sony PS-HX500 Turntable features an internal phono EQ amp so you can switch between Line and Phono outputs. Use the RCA jacks to connect it to Hi-Fi separates such as an amplifier and speakers (sold separately) so you can play your records the old-fashioned way in their vintage glory.
Sound clarity is improved by an insulated design and integrated shell-type tonearm. Its lightweight structure helps to improve low-end response, with a round shape to focus overall sound reproduction. Use the dust cover to reduce vibration and keep the slip mat clean.
