Connect the recorder directly to your PC via direct USB connection to transfer files quickly and conveniently. You won't even need a USB cable.
microSD card slot
Start recording straight away with 4 GB of internal memory, letting you capture up to 59 hours and 35 minutes of audio in MP3 at 128 Kbps. The Sony ICDPX470 features a microSD card slot so you can expand your storage up to 32 GB. That's a potential 536 hours of MP3 recording at 128 Kbps.
Low cut filter and Auto Voice Recording
Eliminate low-frequency background sounds during recordings with the low cut filter. It's useful for filtering out common problem sounds like projectors, traffic or wind so voices can be heard more clearly. Auto Voice Recording reduces background noise to enhance recordings with optimised settings for speech frequencies. Clear Voice technology cleans up the signal for even clearer playback.
Adjustable mic range
Change capture settings depending on what you're recording with adjustable microphone range. Use Focus mode for single voices – it captures a narrow sound field from one direction. For multiple voices, Wide-Stereo mode captures a wider range so each speaker is audible. Four scene presets (Music, Meeting, Interview, Dictation) let you pick the optimal audio setting
Record for up to 55 hours
You can record compressed MP3s or higher-quality Linear PCM files depending on whether you need to capture a lot of speech, or if you're recording music and other complex sounds. The ICD PX 470 Voice Recorder plays back MP3 and PCM files - enjoy your favourite songs in music player mode.
Record for up to 55 hours off the supplied AAA batteries when you're capturing MP3 files at 192 or 128 Kbps. That's plenty of battery life to cover long events.
