Includes free Lifetime Maps
With your Garmin nüvi 57LM you'll enjoy the convenience of free Lifetime Map updates for Western Europe. The sat nav's 24 country maps will stay current so you can drive with greater accuracy and confidence.
Take advantage of the thousands of Points of Interest (POIs) stored, including restaurants, businesses and shops. Find Up Ahead places like food and fuel stations without leaving the map – and effortlessly keep in step with road layout changes or new businesses appearing.
What are free Lifetime Maps?
Sat nav devices or smartphone apps with free Lifetime Maps allow you to download full updates of your map every year - stay up-to-date with changes to road networks, addresses and points of interest, as well as new businesses, road changes and junction alterations.
Updates are released at least four times a year and apply to the map that's pre-installed on your sat nav or included with your smartphone app.
Geographical coverage and features will still match the original. Updates are free of charge and provided for the useful life of the device (i.e. as long as the manufacturer supports it with software updates, services, content or accessories). Please note, with increased road detail and more points of interest, new maps could be larger in size; as a result, map updates may require a microSD card (sold separately).
Foursquare, Real Direction and Direct Access
Foursquare is included on the nüvi 57LM, allowing you to access additional points of interest with awesome content - discover new and community-rated popular restaurants, shops and more.
Real Directions is a great feature that uses recognisable landmarks, buildings and traffic lights to guide you accurately in unfamiliar circumstances – you'll know exactly when to “turn left over tower bridge”.
Complicated destinations are simplified by Direct Access: if you're at a shopping centre or airport with multiple entrances, it helps you find the nearest entrance and parking to your final destination, saving you time and unnecessary frustration.
Pinpoint guidance
Thanks to Lane Assist and Junction View, your Garmin nüvi 57LM can realistically display junctions and road changes, including the surrounding landscape and road signs. Easily choose the correct lane by following the onscreen arrows.
Bird's Eye junction view helps when you reach complicated junctions by giving you a detailed aerial picture of the road network.
Safer driving
You'll enjoy information from the Cyclops Speed Camera system, providing real-time, direction-relevant and accurate alerts with a full safety camera database pre-loaded on your nüvi 57LM.
Regular or one-off updates can be purchased separately to ensure you always have the latest camera locations, so you keep driving safely and legally. You'll also get alerts for school zones on your route.
