The TD-W9980has a VDSL/ADSL2+ modem built in, meaning it is compatible with all types of broadband that comes through your phoneline, including fibre optic connections such as BT Infinity.
High speed connections
No matter what you want to do online, the TD-W9980 is perfectly designed to get the most from your internet connection.
Dual band technology gives you two frequencies to connect to, depending on what you're doing: 2.4 GHz for less intensive tasks such as sending emails, and 5 GHz for bandwidth-hungry applications such as gaming and watching high definition videos.
You can also connect wired devices using one of the five Ethernet connections. These high speed connections allow you to get online without needing a wireless adapter.
Two USB 2.0 ports allow you to connect devices such as printers to your router - ideal for networking a printer.
Versatile connection
The TB-W9980 features a restricted guest network connection for people visiting the house.
There's also a parental control function which lets you monitor and restrict what your young ones get up to online.
High security
Setting up a secure network is easy and makes sure your connection and files stay private. It includes NAT and SPI Firewalls, and allows you to filter by MAC, IP and URL, letting you block computers and websites to keep your data protected.
