This hardware scanner server enables users to share the power of their EPSON scanner easily and efficiently.
Currently, for workgroup clients to take advantage of the functionality of the EPSON high-end scanners it is necessary for the network to include a PC to host the EPSON Scan Server software.
In a small business environment, or offices with limited space, this arrangement can be costly and inefficient. Although the PC can still be utilized for other functions, it needs to have the processing power to be able to support the network traffic. A PC also has a much higher power consumption and footprint.
The EPSON Network Image Express replaces the need for a PC to host the Scan Server software. If the clients, whether Windows or Mac based, have EPSON Twain Pro Network V1.7 or later installed they can access a scanner through Network Image Express to make full use of all the scanner features.
