High ratio zoom Offering high performance for Nikon digital SLR cameras, the 18-300 mm f/3.5-6.3 Macro Lens offers a high zoom ratio of 16.6x covering focal lengths from wide angle through to telephoto zoom. This multi-purpose lens with compact design is ideal for the travelling enthusiast photographer. The high zoom ratio means less equipment to carry and less switching of lenses in the field. Steady and silent The 18-300 mm f/3.5-6.3 Macro Lens features an Optical Stabiliser to alleviate camera shake, ideal when shooting hand-held. Switching between manual and autofocus enables you to get your perfectly focused shot. A newly developed Hyper Sonic Motor driven by ultrasonic waves offers quiet and fast autofocus, ideal for shooting nature and wildlife. Macro photography A minimum focusing distance of 39 cm across the full zoom range with a maximum magnification ratio of 1:3 enables you to get close-up, detailed images of subjects such as jewellery and flowers. The lens barrel features a magnification scale ensuring you're able to get the close-up results you wanted. Sharper results Chromatic aberration is minimised with four FLD (¿F¿ Low Dispersion) and a single SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass element, offering sharper and clearer results. The Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting to generate high contrast, sharp images even in backlit conditions. Sigma USB Dock compatible The 18-300 mm f/3.5-6.3 Macro Lens is compatible with the Sigma USB Dock (sold separately), which enables you to update the lens firmware and adjust parameters such as focus.
